Cross the land border from Tamabil Bangladesh to Dawki India with valid visa

From Dhaka to Guwahti via shillong

India is a very vast country and shares its international borders with 7 countries  which you may cross land border with valid visa, however many people want to cross by land but lack of information does not let them to do so. Here I will  share our experience about crossing the border from Bangladesh to India. I had started our journey from Dhaka and got the reservation in chair car of Parbat express. Here is some trains from Dhaka to Sylhet:

Note: Travelers always travel in day time which is safe in stranger place.

*Train stoppage is Biman Bangladesh station in Dhaka.

I got reservation at Parabat express from Biman Bangladesh station to Sylhet in Chair car in (Bangladeshi Taka) BDT 320/- per adult there is no waiting and easy availability from Bonani railway station and reached at Biman Bangladesh station 06:00 morning train was late by 00:30 Minutes. All coaches number in Bangla language so it may create difficulties to find the same. it was also late at destination Sylhet at 14:00. Just in front of the station Bus stand is there, from where Bus is available to Jaflong it is very famous tourist place in Bangladesh. 

Sylhet to Jaflong distance is around 58 Kms. and bus takes around 2:30 to 3:00 hours and fare is BDT 65 per adult, since due to heavy traffic jam in Sylhet city I was at Tamabil border at 05:00PM and immigration check post is around 400 meters from Bus stop which is easily approachable. At immigration check post Bangla police asked me road tax BDT 700 which is one of the way to earn money by travelers, while Govt. of Bangladesh does not incur any tax on travelers, they also provided me fake receipt on demand of the amount which was printed in Bangla language this immigration post is utmost corrupted post at Bangladesh side. It takes around one hour to process immigration formalities both side.

I entered at 05:30 pm in India there was no taxi or public transportation available because of Sunday. India side town Dawki (Meghalay) remains closed on Sunday it was 1 km distance from Dawki post to town and taxi or buses to Shillong available upto12:00 afternoon, however you can hire taxi also at any time from Dawki. I had to stay in a hotel, at morning I got bus at 7:30 from Dawki to Shillong which is around 80 Kms away from Dawki and takes 3:00 to 3:30 hours to complete entire journey bus fare was INR 80 per adult, not any ticket was given to bus passengers but all way was full of scenic nature. Shillong MTC to Guwahati is around 96 Kms and bus fare is INR 140 journey takes around 3:00 to 4:00 hours which depends on traffic jam.
